4/12/13 Figuring out a plan/routine

My back has been painful today, so I didn't go running and tried to keep myself using good posture as much as possible around the house. It's feeling a bit better now. I am hoping to feel good by morning.

Here is a clip of Josiah working on his arm and leg moves in the mirror and watching his high contrast mobile.

We tried a new colic medicine called Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water. We are looking for something cheaper and not black. It seems to work at first, but Josiah is having trouble staying asleep when we lay him down. So far, we have concluded that Colic Calm works better, and is a smaller quantity he has to swallow, but it's black, makes his poop black, and is the most expensive. Mommy's Bliss is a bigger quantity and seems to not work as well, but is cheaper and doesn't get black stuff everywhere.

Josiah is doing really well at falling asleep while I read to him. I think that so far a bed time routine that works is: change diaper, put on fubby (footed pajamas), nurse or bottle feed, burp, and rock and read or sing until Josiah is asleep. This works best started at 9pm, but if he sleeps a lot during the day it can be as late as 11pm.

  1. Thanks for using "fubby!" We'll make it a universally accepted word yet!
