First day at Church

Josiah conveniently slept for a 4 hour stretch last night resulting in his feeding schedule working out perfectly to go to church. We went to the 11-12:30 service at SW Bible and meet Dave and Katie there. The sermon was on Luke 9 10-17, where Jesus feeds the 5,000. He had crossed the lake to go to a solitary place, but the crowd followed him. Even though he was seeking solitude likely for rejuvenation, he had compassion on them and taught them. What a compassionate God we have. Josiah slept the whole time with only a tiny sigh or grunt here and there. There were a lot of little kids near by who were sitting so quietly and well behaved. I hope we will be able to raise him to be as good when he is that age. One little girl in front if us, maybe 3rd grade at most, was taking notes on a little note pad and following along in the pew Bible. WOW! While chatting with Dave and Katie Josiah awoke, so we fed him part of a bottle before going home. We just hung around the house, watched shows, and took a walk for our afternoon.
The Bentley's made us delicious dinner and hung out from 5:30-9. It was really good to see them. They brought some more newborn clothes we can borrow. There was even a sweater that'll fit him in the pile! Hurray! We had a good evening visit!
